About the Residency
The FUTURES Residency Programme supports emerging photographers with the time, space, and resources to develop new work, with a strong emphasis on research and artistic process. It’s an environment for experimentation, exploration, and production, offering participants the opportunity to push the boundaries of their practice while engaging with critical contemporary themes.
The residency invites artists to explore the intersection of Nature, Environment, and Technology, themes that are increasingly urgent today. We encourage projects that challenge perceptions of human and ecological relationships, technological advancement, and environmental responsibility. Artists will have the chance to investigate, reflect on, and expand upon these concepts in an interdisciplinary and culturally vibrant setting.
Designed as a space for experimentation and reflection, the programme supports artists in developing their ideas over time. Public engagement is a key component of the residency, with each program culminating in a public event where artists share their work and engage in dialogue with diverse audiences.
