Born in 1996, Moyse is based in Swansea, Wales, and has an MA in photography from Plymouth College of Art. He holds a position at Teesside University, lecturing and leading their MA in Photography. His practice focuses on the lived disabled experience, providing insight into and exposure for those marginalised in the UK, and the oppressive systems they encounter. Moyse has exhibited at BayArt and Ffotogallery in Cardiff, Mission Gallery in Swansea, Belfast Exposed, and MOMA Machynlleth. He was recently awarded a Welsh Arts Council grant to continue his inquiry into The Sorry State.

The Sorry State
Does your condition affect your washing and bathing? Does your condition affect you using the toilet or managing incontinence? These are just two of the questions UK citizens are asked when applying for aid from the Welfare State, typically posed by strangers. Jack Moyse finds the process intrusive and demeaning and has fought back with his work, mapping the relevant scenarios with his own body, then shooting at a distance. Peeping through doorways or watching long-distance through trees, his imagery suggests the surveillance to which he and others are subjected; using images to raise awareness, he also suggests the camera as a liberatory tool. Moyse’s staged still lifes materialise the rhetoric that surrounds disability, meanwhile, and his layered artworks the trappings of bureaucracy.

Nuno Alexandre Serrão is a Portuguese photographer and director whose work explores the relationship between natural landscapes and human-made structures, combining cinematic formalism and raw storytelling. Led by curiosity, he often creates or documents non-linear narratives about uncomfortable and ambiguous topics that challenge comfort zones and encourage reflection, ultimately provoking questions about what is fundamental or emergent.
His work has gained international attention, and is published in established media outlets like HuffPost, Público, Expresso, L’Hémcycle, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, and GQ. It has also been exhibited in cultural institutions such as Fotogalerie Friedrichshain in Berlin, ImageNation in Milan, ArtIcon in Paris, and the National Museum of Finland. His short films and commercial projects have been recognized at festivals like Aesthetica, Caminhos do Cinema Português, FUSO, and Inshadow Festival.
Critics describe Serrão’s work as ‘pursuing the beauty that emerges at the intersection of nature and humanity’ (Ana Marques Maia, Público, 2024). Claire Ducresson-Boët describes his landscapes as ‘places of passage and transition where time seems to stand still, offering a moment of quietness before life resumes.’
Sara Perovic’s photography begins with the personal,
drawing from her own experiences and memories, and
expands into broader themes of repetition, abstraction,
and identity. Her work explores how personal moments
shape perception and emotional expression. In Palmeral
(2017), Perovic uses texture, repetition, and the fragility
of nature to reveal the unseen complexities of plants.
My Father’s Legs (2020) blends personal reflection with
artistic exploration, confronting memory and healing
through repetitive gestures, navigating emotional
expression and abstraction. TWO (2024) explores
human relationships, visualizing emotional connections
with metaphorical imagery and a poetic “hugs ballad.”
In Home Mirror I, Perovic catalogs her belongings to
explore identity as both a collection of material and
memory.
Her book My Father’s Legs was shortlisted for the
Les Rencontres d’Arles Prix du Livre d’Auteur and the
Aperture/Paris Photo First Book Award. Perovic also
founded aTree, a fanzine promoting young photographers,
available at MoMA Library in New York. She works as a
photographer and architect in Berlin.
Andreas Hopfgarten (b. 1987) is a German visual artist and photographer based in Reykjavik, Iceland. His research-based practice explores the intersection of personal and collective histories. Through intuitive storytelling, his work incorporates film, sculpture, and installation techniques, creating multi-layered narratives. Hopfgarten’s projects often reflect on memory, identity, and the cultural forces that shape them. He earned a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Fine Arts Hamburg (HFBK Hamburg; Prof. Simon Denny) in 2023 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the same institution in 2020 (Prof. Simon Denny). His academic background also includes a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Design from the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg) and a diploma in photography from the Photo+Media Forum Kiel. His work has been exhibited internationally in notable venues and festivals, including the Haus der Photographie, Deichtorhallen in Hamburg, NRW Forum in Düsseldorf, Goethe-Institut Nicosia in Cyprus, the Voies OFF Festival in Arles, and the Einar Jónsson Museum in Reykjavik, Iceland. Hopfgarten has been recognized with several awards, such as the Claussen-Simon Foundation Fellowship (2019/2020) and the gute aussichten – junge deutsche fotografie (2016/2017).
Matthieu Croizier (b. 1994) is a Franco-Swiss photographer working between Lausanne and Paris. His work focuses on the intimate, queer issues, portraiture and the representation of the human body. Using fragments of reality that he decontextualises, he attempts to create new stories, like parallel realities in which things and bodies are no longer condemned to be as they are defined.
In 2021 he was named British Journal of Photography's Ones to Watch 2021, and selected among the Futures Talents 2021. Also a laureate of Paris Photo's Carte Blanche Students 2020. He recently exhibited at institutions such as Kunsthalle Trier, the Centre d’Art Contemporain Yverdon-les-Bains, and the Swiss Design Awards 2023. His work has been featured in numerous group shows and festivals including in Athens, Milan, Paris, London, Braga, and Guadalajara. In March 2024, he published his first book, "Everything goes dark a little further down" with Mörel Books. Beyond his personal projects, he undertakes commissions for clients comprising M le Monde, Esquire Italy, Zeit Magazine, Art Basel, On Running, Salomon, and Les Inrockuptibles.
Sergio (b.2003) is an Afrodominican-Spanish artist, photographer and director who graduated on a Audiovisual Communication Photography degree in May 2025. He works on both personal and external creative comissions related to photography and moving image in the fashion and creative industry.
His creative journey began at the age of 15 when he picked up one of his old film cameras from his mom. His work spans across fashion, racial narratives, documentary storytelling, and observations. Sergio places profound significance on colorimetry and the essence of the Black individual. His practice strives to redefine new perceptions on blackness and its beauty, particularly delving into the intricacies of Spanish-Black society and diaspora.
In 2025, Sergio published Esto es España, a photographic book examining Black presence, identity, and lived experience within contemporary Spanish society. The publication was launched through two highly successful events in Madrid and London, and has received significant media attention, including interviews and international coverage by platforms such as PhotoVogue, EE72, and El País Semanal. The project extends his ongoing exploration of Spanish-Black narratives and the diaspora, positioning the book as both a personal and cultural document.
Born in Taranto (Italy) in 1994 and his approach to photography came unexpectedly in 2016 with the discovery of some disused cameras belonging to his father. This prompted him the following year to deepen his knowledge by beginning a three-year degree program in Photography and Visual Arts at IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) Rome, graduating with honors in 2019.
In 2023 he completed his studies by earning a master's degree at lSIA (Istituti Superiori per le Industrie Artistiche) in Urbino in Photography for publishing and cultural heritage.
His work has been published in several magazines and has found space in various group and solo exhibitions in Italy and around the world, including Thailand, England and Germany (some of the latest “Accepting the Void” at the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Turin, and “L'altro Deserto Rosso” at the Italian Cultural Institute of Montreal in Canada).
In 2020, he published “Abisso”, his first photography book with DITO Publishing.
Mateusz Pecyna is a Polish visual artist working with installation, moving image, objects and sound. His practice explores how technological systems and environmental stress reshape contemporary culture, especially through regimes of visibility, interfaces and synthetic forms of nature. Rather than treating technology as a neutral tool, he approaches it as a cultural agent: something that produces aesthetics, behaviours and power relations. Combining research with speculative narration, he builds layered situations that test the boundaries between documentary evidence and constructed scenarios.
Pecyna holds an MA in Photography and Multimedia from the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, Poland. He has presented work widely in solo and group exhibitions in Poland and internationally, across museums and festival contexts. He currently participates in the international Heritage Lens programme, focusing on how climate change and environmental catastrophe reorganise cultural heritage, public imaginaries and the conditions of living. He was awarded the Artistic Scholarship of the City of Łódź (2025).
Artur Pławski is a photographer with a late debut. A graduate of Philosophy at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland, he participated in the Sputnik Photos Mentoring Program for photographers. He works in the field of documentary photography, drawing on the critical potential of imagination and subjective forms of meaning-making.
In his work, he focuses on moments when facts lose their apparent obviousness, the image reveals its subjective nature, and emerging meanings point to a broader contextual framework. He explores the relationship between the individual and urban space, as well as the influence of ideology and language on perception. He is particularly interested in images that resist closure.
Artur is the winner of the Photography Publication of the Year Award (Poland, 2023) and received an honourable mention at the PhMuseum Photobook Award 2025.
Younès Klouche is a photographer living and working in Paris and Lausanne. His personal projects pursue new solutions to re-define the documentary genre owing to a conceptual and reflexive approach. After graduating with honours from ECAL in Switzerland, Younès Klouche's commercial practice soon expanded to Paris; where he maintains strong connections with clients, producers and art directors. At the occasion of Art Basel 2022 & the Swiss Design Awards, he presents for the first time Panamera; the result of a three years long photography project in which he studies the urban transformations of the larger territory of Paris. The body of work is then exhibited at the Embassy of Switzerland in Seoul and published into a monographic book with French publishing house Poursuite.
Clare Lyons (b.1993) is an artist and photographer working between Belfast and Dublin. Considering the photograph as an object is integral to Clare’s practice. Her work often employs methods borrowed from sculpture and printmaking to draw attention to this, blurring the lines of what photography is or can be. Clare’s practice has been largely autobiographical, focusing on deeply personal themes and stories of healing and catharsis in the face of trauma and mental illness. Recent works represent a transitory phase for Clare as her practice shifts and changes, no longer confined to being the subject of her own work.
Clare was one of five Irish Talents selected by PhotoIreland for the FUTURES European Photography Platform in 2021, and in 2022 represented Ireland at 'Visage(s) d'Europe' curated by Collectif Fetart in Paris. Clare presented her debut solo exhibition 'To Jack' at The Limerick Museum in October 2024.

Salvatore Vitale (b. 1986, Palermo, Italy) is a Swiss-based artist, director, and professor whose work explores the complexity of contemporary societies. Using expanded and speculative storytelling through mixed media techniques, he focuses on the politics of systems that regulate modernity and the impact of technological transformations.
Vitale is the Artistic Director of EXPOSED Torino Foto Festival and FUTURES Photography, both international platforms dedicated to contemporary photography. He also serves as a Professor at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, where he leads the Transmedia Storytelling Programme. Previously, he was the co-founder and editor-in-chief of YET magazine, an international photography publication.
Vitale’s work has received international awards. It is featured in several public and private collections and has been widely exhibited in museums and at festivals worldwide.
Ángel Luis González Fernández is a designer, artist, and curator supporting engaging visual arts practices, winner of Business to Arts David Manley Emerging Entrepreneur Awards 2011.
His work manifests through PhotoIreland, which he founded in 2010 to stimulate a critical dialogue on Photography. He devises curatorial projects placing conversations in the public realm around visual culture, critical thinking. These include events (PhotoIreland Festival, Halftone Print Fair, arts residency How to Flatten a Mountain, and New Irish Works), a cultural hub (The Library Project: Ireland’s Art bookshop, host to a unique resource library of photobooks and a productive arts programme), publishing projects that distribute inexpensive access to local practices, research projects (Critical Academy: examining contemporary art practices). He works collaboratively with a growing network of organisations, noticeably through ambitious Creative Europe partnerships.
During the Summer 2020 lockdown he launched the critical publication OVER Journal, now distributed globally. He received the Arts Council of Ireland’s Visual Arts Bursary to deepen research on the broad historical and specific artistic context of Photography in Ireland, to curate an ambitious survey exhibition in PhotoIreland Festival 2022 and to publish a series of publications on the matter. He regularly contributes to publications such as the forthcoming The Routledge Companion to Global Photographies, edited by Lucy Soutter, Duncan Wooldridge.

Iveta Gabaliņa (1979) is a curator, artist and educator. She has studied photography at the studio of Andrejs Grants, at Bournemouth Art Institute, and in the MA programme at Alto University in Helsinki. Her work has been exhibited in Latvia and internationally, including at C/O (Berlin, Germany), GESTE (Paris), and Williams Tower Gallery (Houston, USA). Gabaliņa has participated in photography festivals in Singapore, Hanover, and elsewhere. Her work is included in the collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum, Geste Paris, and the Deutsche Börse Art Collection.
Since 2008 she has been part of ISSP team, responsible for numerous educational and curatorial projects. In 2018 she founded ISSP Gallery - an exhibition space dedicated to contemporary photography.
I’ve always loved photography, even if it sounds like a cliche. The first photos I took, I did without knowing how to do that, without paying any attention to framing, subject or composition. After a while, I began to understand what is happening in the space between me as a photographer and the subject I was photographing. And many years later, I also understood why I love to photograph. To communicate. A message, a concept, an emotion.
