Mateusz Pecyna is a Polish visual artist working with installation, moving image, objects and sound. His practice explores how technological systems and environmental stress reshape contemporary culture, especially through regimes of visibility, interfaces and synthetic forms of nature. Rather than treating technology as a neutral tool, he approaches it as a cultural agent: something that produces aesthetics, behaviours and power relations. Combining research with speculative narration, he builds layered situations that test the boundaries between documentary evidence and constructed scenarios. Pecyna holds an MA in Photography and Multimedia from the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, Poland. He has presented work widely in solo and group exhibitions in Poland and internationally, across museums and festival contexts. He currently participates in the international Heritage Lens programme, focusing on how climate change and environmental catastrophe reorganise cultural heritage, public imaginaries and the conditions of living. He was awarded the Artistic Scholarship of the City of Łódź (2025).

Teresa Freitas (b. 1990) is a Portuguese photographer and colourist. Her work navigates the genres of fine art, documentary and street photography, often exploring the impact of colour in composition, place, mood, and in the viewer's aesthetic response.
Initially drawn to black and white film, Teresa followed her influences from Painting and Cinema to apply a knowledge of colour theory and harmony to develop a signature style which has earned her praise in many publications. She shares this knowledge through international workshops and online courses.
After several years working in commercial photography—with collaborations including Leica, Adobe, and Dior—she is now focused on short and long-term documentary projects. Her current work examines cultural and symbolic relationships to nature, particularly through flowers.
Visvaldas Morkevicius (b. 1990) is a Lithuanian artist s a Lithuanian artist working in the expanded field of the image, who explores photography and its boundaries through personal experiences and reflections on society. His work navigates themes of identity, technology, and power, blending minimalism with layered narratives to examine modern life’s emotional and psychological dimensions.
At this moment, he is pursuing his MA diploma in Photography at EACL, Switzerland (2025).
Visvaldas works reflect a deep engagement with contemporary life's emotional and psychological dimensions, examining how hyperconnectivity, media saturation, and systemic forces shape human perception, memory, and agency. The artist's approach is both critical and reflective. He uses photography and interdisciplinary media to explore themes of loss, disconnection, and resilience, juxtaposing personal experience with broader societal dynamics. His art often reveals the tension between intimacy and detachment, questioning how technology mediates relationships, reframes violence, and commodifies identity. Visvaldas draws from psychoanalysis
and critical theory to investigate the cycles of desire, control, and addiction embedded in modern systems.
He is particularly interested in how these systems exploit human vulnerability, trapping individuals in loops of consumption and obedience. Through his practice, he challenges viewers to confront the fragile balance between autonomy and control, reality and hyperreality.His work combines stark minimalism with layered narratives, creating immersive experiences that invite reflection on contemporary life's emotional and ethical implications. Visvaldas seeks to uncover hidden connections, offering a lens through which to question the forces that shape our lives while exploring the human desire for meaning, connection, and self-expression.

Andong Zheng (1992, China) lives and works in Rotterdam, NL. With a hybrid background in engineering and fine art, Zheng was trained to focus on micro details within rigid causal frameworks, yet he often found himself questioning the macro structures they sustain. His work explores how seeing itself becomes a site of epistemological asymmetry. For him, image-making is less about mapping established knowledge systems than about dismantling and reconfiguring them, a way of engaging with the gaps, ambiguities, and contradictions that lie between these systems and the world. Through this practice, he seeks to open up new ways of knowing that traverse rationality.
Zheng was shortlisted for the Jimei x Arles Discovery Award (2024) and musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac Photography Award (2025). His work has also been featured in publications such as The Routledge Companion to Photography, Representation and Social Justice, British Journal of Photography, and Chinese Photography.

Cristóbal Ascencio (Guadalajara, 1988) is a photographer and visual artist whose work
explores the relationship between images and memory. With studies in Audiovisual Media (CAAV Jalisco) and Contemporary Photography (EFTI Madrid), his practice goes beyondtraditional photography into virtual reality, data manipulation, and photogrammetry. He hasexhibited individually at the Mexican Cultural Institute in Spain (2025), Fundación Marso(2025) and Getxo Photo Festival (2022), and collectively at Foam Amsterdam, AthensPhotography Festival, Casa del Lago UNAM, and Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation. Selected for FOAM Talent 2024-25, he won the First Prize FotoCanal Photography Book ofthe Community of Madrid (2024) and published Las flores mueren dos veces with Editorial Dispara (2025). Peter Pflügler (b. 1987) is an Austrian visual storyteller based in the Netherlands. He holds a BA in Photography from the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague. Pflügler’s work centres on the dynamics of secrets, intergenerational trauma and silence. With the help of photography, video and text, he aims to resurrect the unseen, the unknown and the hidden. His Now is not the right time project has been shown at numerous festivals and exhibitions throughout Europe, whilst the dummy was nominated for several international prizes, including the Kassel Dummy Award.Website: peterpflugler.com
My name is Claude. As an interdisciplinary artist, I mainly use the media of photography and sound. I am based in Lichtensteig in Toggenburg, Switzerland. I grew up in the 90‘s in a small village on the Swiss side of Lake Constance and was socialised in the environment of the Catholic Church. Today, after studying analogue photography at Ostkreuzschule in Berlin and living in various house and farm projects, I no longer feel that I belong there.
However, the themes in my artistic practice today are still characterised by a tightly structured childhood, youth and apprenticeship: in my work, I have been exploring the concepts of collectivity and intimacy for several years. I am always looking for liberating and solidary acts in performative moments and arts production. My image- and sound-based practice reveals my great affinity for technology, the exploration of boundaries and needs in dialogue and the creation of trusting connections and learning spaces in my collaborations.
As a child of the working class, I am concerned with my own role as an artist in society and what (political) room for manoeuvre this opens up for me. The problem of self-exploitation, especially - but not only - with a body read as female, is a recurring theme in my artistic practice.
Since 2019, the Salon Vert has been a network of artists, a laboratory for sound research and a place for interdisciplinary dialogue. The Salon Vert has found a new home in my studio in Lichtensteig in 2023. I am also co-founder of the audiovisual Glitch Festival in St.Gallen and music editor at the community radio station Stadtfilter in Winterthur.

Katya Lesiv (b. 1993, Ukraine) is a visual artist and photographer from Ukraine. Currently living and working in Finland. She has graduated with a MA from National Academy of Fine Art and Architecture in Kyiv, 2017. Lesiv works with the topics of cyclicality, physicality, emotional and sensitive experience, and motherhood. Her artistic practice explores the sense of presence through materiality of a variety of disciplines and media, including photography, art book, installation, object, text, graphics and moving image. Performative method, often rooted in routine rituals, is a way to encapsulate and share intimate experiences while safeguarding personal space. In her practice, Lesiv works with the body of the book, which often serves as the final form of her work. Lesiv's works have been exhibited in several solo exhibitions in Ukraine, Finland and Netherlands and in curated group exhibitions worldwide. Her artbook “Lullaby 1” belongs to the top 100 photobooks of “How We See: Photobooks by Women” according to 10×10 Photobooks. Her artbook “I love you” was shortlisted by Aperture PhotoBook Awards in 2022.
Clare Lyons (b.1993) is an artist and photographer working between Belfast and Dublin. Considering the photograph as an object is integral to Clare’s practice. Her work often employs methods borrowed from sculpture and printmaking to draw attention to this, blurring the lines of what photography is or can be. Clare’s practice has been largely autobiographical, focusing on deeply personal themes and stories of healing and catharsis in the face of trauma and mental illness. Recent works represent a transitory phase for Clare as her practice shifts and changes, no longer confined to being the subject of her own work.
Clare was one of five Irish Talents selected by PhotoIreland for the FUTURES European Photography Platform in 2021, and in 2022 represented Ireland at 'Visage(s) d'Europe' curated by Collectif Fetart in Paris. Clare presented her debut solo exhibition 'To Jack' at The Limerick Museum in October 2024.
Marisol Mendez uses her camera to study the tension between truth and fiction,
the tight relationship between what a photograph creates and the (sur)real it comes from. Driven by research-led and self-initiated projects, she seeks to deconstruct traditional modes of representation and weave nuanced narratives with multiple layers of meaning.
At the heart of her artistic pursuit lies the exploration of humankind. Marisol is moved by the desire to build genuine connections with the people on the other side of the lens. Her objective is to encapsulate the intimacy of shared experiences, the tenderness or friction of mutual recognition.
Embracing the horizontality of images, she utilizes a diverse array of visual languages to tell stories that traverse the boundaries between individual experience, collective memory, and imagination. Rooted in the landscapes and folklore of her Bolivian culture, Marisol’s work oscillates between candid and staged, naturalistic and mythical.
Vitalii Halanzha (b. 1991) is a Ukrainian artist photographer living and working in Kyiv. His artistic practice involves engagement with the landscape, employing it as a dynamic medium to explore the complex relationships between natural processes and society.
In his recent work, Halanzha investigates the intersection of the enduring presence of warfare, environment, and perception. Using a restrained visual language, he documents the quiet aftermath of war. Avoiding the scenes of destruction, he invites viewers to observe what lingers - the latent threat, the buried remnants, the psychological and environmental imprints.
Vitalii has been selected as an artist for the third cycle of the Parallel Photo Platform in 2019-20. His works have been exhibited in numerous galleries and festivals, such as Landskrona Foto, Les Rencontres d'Arles, Odesa Photo Days, Lodz Fotofestiwal, Photo London, etc. In 2025, he is one of the nominated artists for the FUTURES European Photography Platform.

Salvatore Vitale (b. 1986, Palermo, Italy) is a Swiss-based artist, director, and professor whose work explores the complexity of contemporary societies. Using expanded and speculative storytelling through mixed media techniques, he focuses on the politics of systems that regulate modernity and the impact of technological transformations.
Vitale is the Artistic Director of EXPOSED Torino Foto Festival and FUTURES Photography, both international platforms dedicated to contemporary photography. He also serves as a Professor at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, where he leads the Transmedia Storytelling Programme. Previously, he was the co-founder and editor-in-chief of YET magazine, an international photography publication.
Vitale’s work has received international awards. It is featured in several public and private collections and has been widely exhibited in museums and at festivals worldwide.
Ángel Luis González Fernández is a designer, artist, and curator supporting engaging visual arts practices, winner of Business to Arts David Manley Emerging Entrepreneur Awards 2011.
His work manifests through PhotoIreland, which he founded in 2010 to stimulate a critical dialogue on Photography. He devises curatorial projects placing conversations in the public realm around visual culture, critical thinking. These include events (PhotoIreland Festival, Halftone Print Fair, arts residency How to Flatten a Mountain, and New Irish Works), a cultural hub (The Library Project: Ireland’s Art bookshop, host to a unique resource library of photobooks and a productive arts programme), publishing projects that distribute inexpensive access to local practices, research projects (Critical Academy: examining contemporary art practices). He works collaboratively with a growing network of organisations, noticeably through ambitious Creative Europe partnerships.
During the Summer 2020 lockdown he launched the critical publication OVER Journal, now distributed globally. He received the Arts Council of Ireland’s Visual Arts Bursary to deepen research on the broad historical and specific artistic context of Photography in Ireland, to curate an ambitious survey exhibition in PhotoIreland Festival 2022 and to publish a series of publications on the matter. He regularly contributes to publications such as the forthcoming The Routledge Companion to Global Photographies, edited by Lucy Soutter, Duncan Wooldridge.
